Some journeys begin long before they reach Maamunagau.
Female sea turtles are known to return to the beaches where they were born to lay their eggs — an extraordinary connection between these animals and the shores that first welcomed them into the world.
This season, six turtle nests are being monitored here at the beaches of Maamunagau, with more hatchlings expected in the weeks ahead.
