Kicking things off is our visiting Michelin-Star Chef Anita Lo from the United States. Deriving inspiration from her travels across the world, Chef Anita likes to infuse and tap into different cultures in preparing her world-famous dishes. Author of cookbooks ‘Cooking without Borders’, and ‘Solo: Easy and Sophisticated Recipes for a Party of One”, Chef Lo is deeply invested in removing the geographical lines separating worlds, bringing the world together with her inimitable talents. Chef Lo has been breaking the glass ceiling since she broke out into the scene, and was the first guest female chef to cook a state dinner at the White House as well. The deep and rich tastes, authenticity, style, and elegance with which her dishes are delivered have gained worldwide recognition and we at Maamunagau could not be more excited to have her visit our island, and have you be a part of it all – up close and personal.  

Hot on her heels is world-famous Flair-Bartender Anne-Lise Jouenne, hailing from France. Having been exposed to the art of ‘bottle-flairing’ Anne completed her Bachelor's Degree and pursued her passion for learning Mixology. After her training in Paris, she started off freelancing, and then slowly started gaining fame as she began getting exposed to more and more social networking events. Her famous TikTok account is note-worthy and a nod to her talents in flair-bartending. Noted as the Best Female Performer at the prestigious Roadhouse Competition in London in 2019, we are ecstatic to welcome her to our humble abode where she can truly showcase her unique creations in mixology. Tying up our theme for the Secret Garden, these are just a few of the cool events you can expect at Maamunagau this season. 

As for our wellness programme, here in your private haven, we will be welcoming an acclaimed list of wellness expert practitioners who will be visiting our island throughout the festive season to help re-invigorate your senses. Guests can book one-on-one therapy sessions with them to check into their soul to better understand themselves and to help our guests unwind, rejuvenate and re-awaken their senses through means of yoga, meditation, acupuncture, and other holistic means.
